yeah he didn't look too good. but the material was A+ as always
shareI was really worried about him all through the show, and knowing that other people were worried doesn't do much to assuage my fears. His face looked swollen, and he seemed like he was slurring his words. It seemed like he pulled himself out of it toward the end though, and his finale was amazing! I just hope he's okay.
shareHe did mention that he's been sober for about 340 days so right there his body and mind is in a huge transition.Plus he is aging.I think he's fine just changing with the times.
sharehe suffered a massive heart attack just a few weeks prior to taping. that couple withhis medication coupled with the fact that he's 70 YEARS OLD took a bit of a toll on him.

THANKS for that info.....I didn't realize he had ANOTHER heart attack in 05, I just watched him on Inside the actor's studio from 04 and he said that he had had 3.
YIKES that means he survived 4 heart attacks! Sadly heart failure FINALLY got him :(
