ASR was the only good thing about this movie.

I am so tired of all these "problem Child-Dennis the Menace" films. Maybe it's because when I was growing up andI was the misfit, using sarcasm on teachers only made them madder, insulting bullies made them gang up on you more, and talking back to parents made them hit harder. Is it Hollywood's idea that all kids movies have to show adults as idiots and that it's possible to get away with every thing?

Sorry, but bad guys givn the chance will tie you up or beat the crap out of you if you don't sit down and shut up. Not just stand there while you tell them that they aren't gonna get away with something.

At least the Little Rascals, the original ones, either never relied on adults, or worked around what the adults were doing.

annasophia was the only reason I watched more than 5 minutes of this. Her facial expressions, manner of speech and stage prescence was perfect. But even she seemed annoyed with the whole project. I'd be angry too, but I'm sure they paid her so anything can be put up with the right amount of cash. Not to give too much away, but when she's fighting back the tears and her whole face turns red, you know she's angry.

watch this movie cause of her, and Lea THompson, but fast forward thru the rest.

Haha yea you really can't away with being a smart azz for long : D

I agree that AnnaSophia was good in this... I don't think she thought she was above the whole thing though. She's just a good actor... and most of the other kids in this are not really. She sticks out like a sore thumb though, and in this case that's a very good thing : D

What about Saint's (Formerly Jets) MLB John Vilma though? Not too shabby : D

Yeah this is totally a kids movie. And yes ASR is the only good thing about this movie, what with her teen angst exemplified. Girl can act. Basically the movie sucked balls. And I've seen kids movies that are way way better so it's not an excuse that it sucked because it's a childish kids movie. Even with all the predictable cliches and story, it could have been done better and been more entertaining and realistic even. I mean, that jumping out of the chopper scene? Are you kidding me?? It just became a real cringe-worthy joke towards the end there. Waste of my damn time. Anyhoo I'm just shocked at how Vilma and a few Jets (yes the real NY Jets with their real home unis) made a cameo in this movie! Did the producers really have enough to shell out to the NFL for a cameo? If so, what a total waste! That money should have been used to making this movie better.

This movie either had a very small budget, people that didn't really know what they were doing, or both. It was just overall a very lazy production... Something you might see in a beginning media class almost. The quality of the picture and sound was pretty good, but everything else was mediocre at best. It's really amazing that AnnaSophia did do a good job though because whoever was directing this movie really didn't expect much so it speaks volumes about her ability to perform even when there isn't any pressure to to.

Ya know it's weird because they use real Jets players and the Jets Logo... but there are no names on the back of their jerseys. If they were their real jerseys, they would have their names. Something tells me they struck a deal with the NFL or something so they didn't have to pay any royalty fees because if they did... then like you said, the money could have been much better spent. That was my favorite scene that AnnaSophia Robb was not in though so it payed off a lil bit ; )

I like AnnaSophia Robb. She's an actress to look out for in the future to do good solid projects. About the unis, the names are usually velcroed on the rear of the jersey. So the unis, logos, etc are all totally real. Hence my shock, since I know the NFL and NBA charge a pretty penny to be featured in any movie let alone a lowly kids movie like this featuring actual players no less and not just game footage on tv.

For real... To both your statements.

OMG, i caught this movie on cable, and actually watched a good chunk of it because i couldn't believe how bad it was. I'm no AnnaSophia Robb fan , but i know she's above stuff like this. Why even agree to be involved or have any connection with something like that. She should have just decided to take a break for a couple months rather than force this onto her resume. How could her agent not think to him/herself...."whoa this blows balls....let's not do this" is beyond me.

Well it was only her fourth movie I believe (Maybe it was after BTT I'm not sure) and when it comes to show business if your new to the biz then you need to do whatever you can to get out there. IT worked out though because like the OP said... She really is the only bright spot.

Well your hoping to be a part of a movie that will get you more exposure so you move on to better things... While I can't say for sure that this did not do that for anyone in this movie... I can say it with pretty good confidence. You are right though, at that point she just needed to get her foot in every door that presented itself... Now she can pick and choose her roles, but not to the same scale that a solidified actress could. She needs to age about 5 more years and have a couple more really solid movies before she can do that.

Actually it was filmed before she wrapped on "The Reaping" so it was made before BTT.
