An True and Underrated Classic
Harkening back to the golden age of Hollywood, Spy School is an entertaining and sincere motion picture in which a young boy must come to terms with his desire to live an alternate life and in doing so attempts to overcome the horrors of his lies which have manifested themselves in the form of true to life fears that we all experience. A chilling allegory of each person's struggle to accept the reality that we are presented with, one could most certainly draw connections to Conrad's Heart of Darkness, as Spy School's Thomas Miller embarks on an internal journey through the human psyche just as Marlow did, confronting the "kidnappers" (an obvious metaphor for Thomas' lies) and coming to terms with the faults and imperfections of humanity's search for civilization (in the case of Spy School, Thomas' search for the adult world, that is one beyond his seemingly limited childhood life).
A well acted masterpiece, placed in the context of Anna Sophia Robb and skateboards, Spy School is a new age piece of art which should be experienced and treasured by all who witness it.
