I will agree with that.
I am an american, but am fascinated with the south american culture. and i will be the first to admit that i havent seen one made by an american with no spanish or south american background that captures the true flavor of the culture.
I try to watch a few of the movies made in south america by SA directors, but they are few and far between those that play here outside those few Spanish or Latin directors that are considered mainstream.
Ah ha, my friend. Gotcha. Neither have I seen a film by a South American director that captures the true essence of either America or Europe.
