Similar movie. One Scene. Please help.

I saw a movie when I was like 8 or 9, and I can only remember one certain scene from it. I think it was about cholera, the woman got sick and the guy took her to his house and undressed her completely and then started rubbing her entire body like crazy with some medicine applying it all over her to save her, I think she was having some kind of a seizure or just passed out, they could've been on the floor in front of a fireplace, I don't remember exactly...I remember there were horses in the movie...

does anybody know this movie? please heeeelp, thanks in advance.

Well, I mixed the movie up with "The Painted Veil," and that sounds like a scene from that movie, so that must be it.

That's The horseman of the roof. Juliette Binoche and Olivier Martinez are the ones in the scene you describe.
