Florentino Ariza ..Once a cheater, always a .. ?

Can a man who had 650 love affairs really be satisfied and stay loyal to Fermina? In the book he and his lovers never stay faithful to each other, and he specifically states that it is possible for him to be in love with more than one woman at the same time.He states that he had fallen in love with that young woman who was killed by her husband, with America and he also thought about and searched for Rosalyn till the end. Good thing they had decided to spend the rest of their lives on that boat just sailing from shore to shore, this way he has less temptation to stray, pfft.

Also, I just cannot ignore the part in the book where 70+ Florentino decides to stalk his next prey, a 14 year old girl/relative, and is described as grooming her, earning her trust before seducing her, and then of course, abandoning her until she killed herself.(How convenient for him). So gross. Would Fermina really love him back if she knew the full detail of his exploits?

And right until the final chapter, Fermina says that what she had felt for Florentino were warm feelings but that it wasn't love. Does she change her mind right after they make love, or is she just living in freedom , away from conventions like she always wanted.
