Not a bad movie ... if it wasn't based on a beloved book!

If this movie had just been called the Seeker, with no reference to the Dark Is Rising it would be ok. But it is sort of like doing a movie called the Hobbit but not placing it in Middle Earth, leaving out Gollum, changing half the characters' names, the dwarves going on a totally different quest which has nothing to do with a dragon and at the end Bilbo finding out he has a twin who was kidnapped at birth. May as well call it something totally different because it is!!!
