'Gubra' Malaysia's Anxiety

Long after the movie "Sepet" was aired in Malaysia(thank God), everyone of us was stunned with the ending. Everyone was like asking, "how's Jason? where's Jason? what happen to Jason?" Well, I guess these are the questions Ms. Yasmin wants us to ponder at the end of the movie.

I, as a Malaysian, would really confessed that it is sad that I don't watch Malay movies that has been produced(aside from Sembilu & Puteri Gunung Ledang). "Sepet" was really awesome in my opinion, after watching so many western movies I find it kinda 'jelak' already. It was fresh and it really suites the our taste.(Come on, no where in the world can get better taste of Nasi Lemak except Malaysia[and it won't get 'jelak']).

So, "Gubra", I'm wishing it with full excitement and enthusiasm that this movie will be a another pride. Who knows? Golden Globe? Oscar? for best Foreign Film? We will be behind Gubra like the spinal chord of mankind.

God Bless

* The anxiety of this movie is really growing. And having heard good news that this movie did gone through success with the censorship board. Amen!

Me too! Never saw Sembilu and PGL though. I'd rather watch P.Ramlee movies than those kinds.
Can't wait for Gubra!
