god, this is what i hate about close minded people. grow up woman!
they never understand the world we're living in now.

about the muslim family and the prostitutes.
well, at least the muslim family give them company and advice when the motherly prostitute needs help when she asked the uztazah to give her son mengaji classes at night. not just treat them liked little *beep* they're humans too. that was on their mind. no matter what they do, they're still have feelings and breathe like us. the muslim wife is very open minded and have faith that people can change into better, instead of looking down at them and treating the prostitutes like *beep* she gave them advice about religion so that she could bertaubat into a better woman. if she doesnt bother abt her. god, knows what will happen to her in the movie. maybe she will be murdered to the father of her child? think la. its actually a very good moral to any kind of people whether religious or not. no matter what you do, help them to be a better person. in different race or religion. they're still human. isnt that what's written in the Quran? help humanity to be peaceful and better. and insyaallah, they will be better because they're living in a dreadful life and religion is the answer for happiness. sheesh.

This movie is so well constructive, and talks about the very common issues that most malaysians hardly ever realize or even take the audacity to rectify the internalized self-hatred and racism with each other. This movies speaks for liberty that free from religious propaganda and particularly emphasizes on the utmost humanity attribute, Love, which is. Gubra is an ideal movie that pokes fun about petty little things that most of us, as malaysian, always practice in daily life. Just because the bilal touched the dog, does not mean he just commits sin nor he was a despicable man from islamic point of view. It just poke fun, on how, a cute little dog is being treated differently just because the dog is a dog. Save it what the doctrines say about 'samak' or animals that we shall not associate with; touching, providing foods, bath etc; In short, giving them an affection as much as the dog is also Gods creation. Oh just because I am so alim ulamak, I cant talk to the prostitue, because, what we have been taught since we were kids, dont talk to chinese, indians because they are kafir. Silly me, Ive been taught hate in speech. I realize its all about respect. This movie briliantly stick the neck out of religious people, especially moslems in malaysia, who think, unlike any other religions, Islam owns the absolute truth and anybody who doesnt follow is deceived by the absolute truth and doom to hell. Ironically, we face the fact, these kinda people breed hate speech and eventually ignite chaos in mayhem due to a complete religious debacle.

Didnt the bilal said '....nanti kena langgar lagi kang' indicating the bilal had once saved the dog. And what's wrong with touching a dog. Yeah, i know it's najis mughallazah. we can always samak rite, even my nearby surau has a tin of dirt to use as the purpose to samak.

i never come across a verse of Quran said we, the muslims, are not allowed to touch dogs and such alike. I'm kinda offended when my chinese friends ask me when one day we stumbled upon a dog, "why arent you afraid of that dog, bukan dosa ke kalo muslim pegang anjing?"

if you stressed out amar makruf nahi mungkar, dont you notice how relieved and bersyukur the bilal's wife's face, when the younger prostitute said she want to stop doing her 'job'(prostitution). Didnt that indicates that the bilal's wife pray so that her neighbour received hidayah from allah? As i recall from learning form 1 or 2's pendidikan agama islam, that is amar makruf and nahi mungkar(preventing by heart). If the bilal's family shun the prostitutes, i think they will further drown in their sins and they will have no place to go if they want to bertaubat.
