Wow this board is dead

Must be the only english spoken person here or this board truly is dead. No one will get to see this good film it seems :( So difficult to find the film for people who don't speak spanish. Good thing I have spanish friends.

I like to think that at least some of my reviews get read, and I'll be posting 5*s for The Dark Hour (I prefer to call it The Cold Hour) on both IMDb and AmazonUK before the day is done.

Spain and Korea are the best countries producing horror/sf as of now, and I never miss out on a chance to support and publicize the really good ones.

Of course, that takes help and other good reviews. One of the most frustrating things I've tried to support was a paperback reissue of "Of All the Bloody Chee." There are no other reviews and as near as I can tell, nobody but me has bought the damn thing.

With The Cold Hour, at least there has been some activity and hopefully after my last post of a few minutes ago, some people will be picking it up from AmazonUK.

Never expect, though, a wildly enthusiastic response from a US or even UK customer base to something that's subtitled. It never fails to amaze me how much of an issue subtitles are even on review sites or among people that, say, you work with who "like" movies but have NEVER seen one with subtitles.

I too prefer the literal title THE COLD HOUR. The sales agent, Lightning Entertainment, slapped on that stupid title, The Dark Hour, thinking it would sell better. In the meantime Elio Quiroga has another movie in the can looking for distribution.
