Let's hope being on a new station, will return the "format" of the show, to what it was in the early seasons.

I don't mind hearing a story about demons every once in awhile, but good grief, it's been nothing BUT "demons" the last couple of years. Regular people who die, and sometimes they were not nice in life..., haunt places too...

I am not going to argue with other posters about if ghosts are real or not, but... When EVERY episode is always about "demons", even paranormal believers have to wonder if the stories told by "witnesses" are still considered "True", which has always been the claim of the show.

Yes, me too. I do hope Anthony Call will still narrate. His voice is perfect for the show.

Totally agree. I had been watching this on the channel destination america and noticed it was all about demons with extreme focus on religion after awhile. This episode tonight was more so than ever before, I'm disappointed.

All the channels 'A Haunting' has aired on, Discovery Channel, TLC & Destination America are all sister channels owned by the same company, they just did the TV station equivalent of taking something from their right pocket, then putting it in their back pocket, then be tucking it into their sock. So the show will just be the same.

The new episode seems like it is also gonna be about "demons"

"Ghost Protector" A mother and daughter both know their house is haunted, but while the mother believes it's the spirit of her murdered boyfriend, her daughter thinks it's much darker.

Channel Six News, they'll finger anything with a pulse!

Weird that season 9 is starting when season 8 just started.

Season 8 ended back in March. There's a seven month gap between the two seasons. It's not that awkward, though I did expect this season to start sometime in 2017 since for the past few years the seasons have been airing almost a year apart. But the earlier seasons aired almost on top of each other. I'm glad we got this season early and didn't have to wait until like January.

They do throw in some changes and omit other details entirely. The show is also very dramatized in it's effects. I doubt the hauntings happened as excruciating as the show displays it, but it is still entertaining. It doesn't surprise me the shows want to play off of the actual haunted themed movies. Those tend to be a hit and if it's going to pull in ratings, then the makers are certainly going to want to level up to that as though this show itself is one of those movies. That surely what got me tuned into it, but I do think they can tone it down with the effects and be more true to the hauntings 100% so we don't have the haters complaining how "unreal" things are.
