Should we believe their stories?

What i honestly don't understand is that after the first season, the paranormal investigators never really revealed the evp tapes, pictures and videos they claimed to have acquired during their investigations.
Find it hard to make out whether they really are being truthful, or it's all done for show..

I'm now halfway through season 7 and each episode sounds more and more improbable with no credible evidence to back up their claims...

reply

No. Lol

No police incident reports? Or hospitals?

Rarely ever 'proof' of the demon's attacks on their bodies.... or anything else photographically.

The husband always disbelieves the hapless wife.

The family always do the dumbest things.

The graphics are always over-dramatic.

reply

I want to believe them. I wish they would do something besides having the same old scenario of, "well, I saw a demon/ghost and it scared me, but I kept it s secret fro my family/chalked it up to imagination and/or being tired." Also, "I am witnessing something but my family completely disbelieves me." Finally, "a demon is harming me/my family, but we have NOWHERE ELSE TO GO. So we'll stay here and hope that burning sage expels it. Really? Something whispers my name once, or tells me I need to leave, or manifests, or stacks my furniture on itself silently the moment I leave the room, well, I'm leaving, mortgage or not.

I also agree that they need to provide more original documentary evidence.

reply

I came here to point out the same thing. I used to love this show so I keep trying newer episodes and it has gotten totally unbelievable. They keep making references to video recordings and photos but never show them (they used to), and the stories are always variations of each other. I believe the show started off honest, and they've just dramatised it and falsified it over the years. A shame.

reply

exactly

reply

I don't believe the show and its creators I think that they over dramatize and perhaps even take poetic licensure creative license and makes it up. If you notice all the shows each episode has basically a formulaic plot people move into a house Paranormal Activity starts gets worse somebody gets hurt they call specialists who allegedly cleanse the house yet within a few hours to a few days the spirit shows up again and the people almost always 99% of the time I have to leave the house every single time same exact story and even if the spirits have shown themselves and have been malevolent they still tend not to believe it I just find it hard to believe that there really are that many stupid people out there so that's my theory

reply

I to used to wonder how true things were or how much it was dramatized UNTIL, I experienced it. I have pictures to prove a lot of the facts, the team who helped me did not use epv's or recordings, they used the physics and we all witnessed things together, I simply do not care if anyone actually believes my episode it was season 8 episode 5 "EVIL RISES" but I will tell you they did not dramatize and stayed true to the story also left a lot out because realize they only have a short time to fit everything in. Just never say never

Hey I just had a look at the pictures
All i saw was a lens flare in the picture you took at night (which you had mistaken for an 'orb'), and the other pictures were taken poorly, with no understanding of how to adjust the camera's exposure.

I just wanted to say, the orb thing you're talking about, i see no sign of it. You took a picture of a street lamp at night... This means that there will be a lens flare in the image, while also bearing in mind that it was shot on a low res setting. If you're talking about orbs then that's different, while most of the time it can be explained to be dust particles, that were picked up by the camera from a reflection of a light source.. You almost always get that when you record/take pictures in the dark or in a dusty place.. even when i record my pets inside the house at night, those 'orbs' show up...

As for the other pictures, you'd only sent me a bunch of images that were overexposed. There was absolutely nothing there.. no shadows/ figures or anything remotely compelling.. It seems ordinary except for the fact that you had taken the pictures facing the window and please don't tell me you think the sunlight shining through the window into your house is considered 'paranormal'..

You can't make claims based off of these images as there was nothing convincing enough to suggest that it was a paranormal phenomenon..

reply

HEY THOSE PHOTOS WERE LOOKED AT BY THE INVESTAGATORS AND THEY ALSO WERE TAKEN WITH A 1PHONE NOT A CAMERA, THE ONES I GAVE TO THE SHOW WERE ACTUALLY PICTURES I HAD PRINTED OFF IT YOU WILL GIVE ME YOUR MAILING ADDRESS I WOULD BE HAPPY TO SEND YOU A COPY THAT YOU DID NOT HAVE TO RETURN. I CAN UNDERSTAND THE SKEPTISM BUT I CAN CLEARLY PROVE THE ACTIVITY WITH THE ACTUAL PICURES AND TO SCAN THEM IN THE COPY WILL NOT DO THEM JUSTICE. I AM WILLING TO SEND THEM IF YOU WANT TO GIVE ME YOUR ADDRESS, OTHERWISE I GUESS YOU WILL HAVE TO EITHER BELIEVE ME OR REMAIN A SKEPTIC.

reply

Well if it's any consolation, I believe your story. We dealt with something similar called a "Shadow Person", but it didn't have "tentacles" and it was so "strategic" that it was really incredible how everytime you planned to catch these things in the act, you were always either at the wrong time or the wrong place at home, not prepared or prepared and nothing happens. People don't understand how hard it is to get "evidence" when things happen so fast you don't have enough time to record anything. Blurry images frequently happen so easily from shaking a camera while you're ALREADY anxious about something that can physically harm you at ANY moment.

The demon we had at our old home was an "opportunist" in my opinion and NEVER completely removed, and I hope that the people who bought our old place never bring children to that house. We did a simple house cleansing that seemed to work because mom acted fast, but it doesn't help when you have people that don't believe you when you're facing these things and it just makes the situation worse because the demon isolates people until they become vulnerable. So like showing evidence online for example, even if you showed people a CLEAR and distinct image, someone would just say it was photoshopped or fake, which is why a lot of these stories never get shared, and why people don't talk to others online about it.

Some things I can say happened at a subtle level that allowed me to observe an entity for about 8 years after the house cleansing that would come and go frequently: 12:00AM - 4:00AM was right about when the most "activity" would happen, the activity would mostly happen around times when rain recently came, audio recordings (since all doors and windows were locked up) got plenty of footsteps all over the house even when everyone was asleep and strange voices, random bits of activity would happen during the daytime such as hearing someone you know "call your name" from a different room and you would go in there and nobody would be there, the feeling of something breathing on you or a "breeze" flowing past you would happen when you're by yourself, unexplainable power fluctuations where the power in the entire house would go out for about an hour except for a single lightbulb in one room in different places each time it would happen, dead night vision video camera recorder even though it was brand new, plugged in, and was pre-charged even if the power went out, the landline phone would occasionally start dialing numbers on its own and in one situation the police were called... eventually we just left the phone unhooked at night. Something that heavily reduced the chances of anything happening at all was having multiple dogs in the house at once AND outside the house because when something was "happening" the dogs would all bark at "seemingly nothing" in one corner of the room. The last time I dealt with that entity was one morning when I was getting ready for work at 3:30am grabbing a cup of water from our water cooler in the kitchen and then suddenly behind me I hear a very LOUD banging noise and I see the light turn on the ice maker on our refrigerator. I thought it was strange because we never installed the parts inside the fridge so it never worked, so I thought it was just a glitch and I was dead wrong! A few seconds after I thought it was just a fluke, it started going ON and OFF rapidly and the button could visibly be seen being pressed over and over again. After that I had enough and moved out of the house!

THANK YOU FOR BELIEVEING MR. I GUESS YOU CA UNDERSTAND THE FRUSTRATION WHEN PEOPLE DO NO BELIEVE. I DONT REALLY CARE WHO DOES OR DOES NOT I KNOW THAT IT IS TRUE AND THAT IS ALL I NEED. AND I AGREE SOMETIMES I WONDER IF IT ALL COMPLETELY GONE?

Hi Jacinda,

I've just watched your episode after seeing your post on here, I admit I'm not sure what to believe but I'd like to believe if that makes sense. Not that I'd want a bad experience like that but to know my loved ones are around me. You say nothing was dramatised, that's exactly what it was like?

I was going to ask if you've moved but from your post it sounds like you still live in the same house, is there a reason why you stayed if it was that bad?

Friends have had good experiences seeing or hearing loved ones in their homes, sometimes unknown voices & one night as we were leaving their house & talking at the back of the car we heard a bump inside. Yet nobody was in there, this friend seems to live in many haunted houses.

Someone went on a night ghost tour of Port Arthur in Tasmania and the lady doing the tour said be careful & don't wish to attract spirits because they can follow you home. There are photos in an area that people took which had a ghostly figure in them and people had sent them to show what appeared. My friend I mention above said she couldn't enter some areas as she felt so cold & chilled it scared her.

Hope things are now settled & thanks for sharing your experience. Have a good 2017.

Thank you for not jumping on here and saying things like I need a psyc dr. The only reason we still live in this house is what people do not know is after it aired I have had 2 more back surgeries, and my husband was in a automobile accident in which he was severely injured and almost did not survive,he suffers
from traumatic brain injury along with numerous other problems,so it hasn't been
the best to move, however we are desperately looking now because we again are
haunted, apparently it has to do with the land the house resides on, and also we
need to find something to accommodate having 7 dogs, when I did work it was for
a Veterinary Hospital. Thank you for not getting on here and completely going off on how it is b.s. No one will ever know what it is like until they willactually experience it, and I would not wish it on anyone.

reply

I certainly wouldn't go off at you, you've experienced something nobody can explain. I'm sorry you've been forced to stay in the house & now you mention it could be the land the house is on brings back something from the 80s when my Mum worked in a Private Hospital which may have been built on Aboriginal Tribal Burial land. While working there several things happened, one woman lost her son in a tractor accident on a farm & not long after her daughter was hit & killed by a car. She suffered a heart attack & died. Another woman working there lost her son & daughter in law in a car crash while Christmas shopping one night. When she'd go through these things we'd wonder but as nothing happened to us we went about our lives. Years later my Dad was diagnosed with cancer & died a few months later just before Christmas. Less than a year later my 7yr old died in my arms, a few years later my 11yr old died (they had juvenile Huntington's disease) which is extremely rare & Drs didn't know how to treat it as they'd never seen it. Now my husband has died from Huntington's disease so we've gone from a family of 7 to a family of 3. Often we say is this connected to Mum working at the hospital which she is more inclined to believe than I am but she probably remembers more things happening while working there. Who knows, your husband having the accident which nearly claimed his life & you having back surgeries could also be connected.
I wish you all the best & hope soon you will be able to get away from the house for some peace of mind. The reason people mock you is likely movies that were made based on 'true stories' which you find out the true story & the movie don't exactly match & you've been conned. Take care & I'm going to watch your episode again. Thanks for replying. :)

I've had minor poltergeist (or something similar) activity, and I never would have believed it if it had not happened to me. Therefore, I believe that people who have not had similar personal experience are naturally skeptical or disbelieving. The most dramatic experience I had was when I was at traffic school at The Comedy Store in West Hollywood in the middle of the afternoon. I saw objects move right in front of me (a plastic tape dispenser for one) and fall off a table. Other things happened that were not impressive, such as lights and TV going on and off by themselves, but that could have been explained. However, when plastic objects move by themselves with no one else close to them, it is a bit more convincing. Fortunately, I have not experienced extremely powerful spirits, but I have seen other objects move by themselves, and always in places that were "known" to be haunted.

The last house where I lived in Venice, California was previously owned by a woman who had been gunned down in her front yard. Her son refused to live there, and I always felt an unknown presence there, which would make frequent sounds in the house that could never be explained. I also worked at a warehouse that was previously a crematorium, and I photographed images there that could not be explained. I also had strange things happen to my car when I was parked there - the stereo would not stop playing after I turned it off and cut off power and removed the key. The car would also lock itself even though I never locked it myself personally, and this happened on multiple occasions. The car behaved normally at any other location.

I do not think that any one religion understands this better than any other religion, and so that for me is a non-issue.

Disgital camera froze huh? How convenient. Just like all the episodes, they say there's proof, but nothing. They say they caught things on video to show a priest, but then don't show us the videos. Why? Because it's all b.s. but your average viewer isn't smart enough to figure it out.

reply

First of all you are entitled to your opinion, Secondly I did not say I didn't have proof, I just said that particular camera froze, and lastly how do you
think I was even considered for this show? The group that helped me was contacted from the show and they submitted my experience, I had numerous interviews and had to submit evidence. What do you think they just take peoples word. Anyway you say
you do not believe, well if it is b.s. they why do you keep watching? um.... maybe because you do but will not admit it.

reply

Jacinda the thing is, i want to believe you, i'm sure we all do..but if they asked you to submit your evidence, why wasn't it featured on the show? we only see a recreation of the 'events' that had supposedly 'occured', with no real concluding evidence, to prove you truly experienced such events.
The pictures you sent me, i don't intend to front you but they were very poorly taken...and even then, why didn't they include those on your episode? At the bare minimum, it could have given credibility to your story

Bottom line is, we can't trust someone or something in these types of situations when the evidence is not apparent. As @dlm0303 mentioned, these shows are heavily dramatized and we really wouldn't have a clue which part of the story is fact or fiction unless there's concrete hard evidence to back it up.

Also a final note...if the paranormal was real, if millions of us have experienced it, why hadn't anybody proven it to win the $1 million dollar paranormal prize..? The challenge is simple..you just have to prove that the supernatural exists and show enough evidence to confirm that paranormal phenomena is absolute. This challenge was started back in 1964 and thousands of people have attempted to prove the existence of the supernatural, however none had been successful to this very day..i guess that explains my scepticism

reply

noonoolala, I do not understand why you keep ,saying they didn't use any evidence, the shadow figure was shown, the tentacles were, the little boy, etc. Remember they have to condense a 1-1/2yr experience into a basically 45 min episode. As for the challenge, the evidence has been shown even on other shows has we are watching for instance paranormal lockdown we see what they find when they actually find it. I have a challenge for you, when I move from here why don't you come rent this house, live here for at least a couple of months and experience it for yourself. Look I was a sceptic myself always sort of believed but wasn't completely convinced, but trust me now iam.

reply

smh..please at least learn the meaning of the word 'evidence' for your own sake, before you try to start an argument.
I don't know what goes through your head when you try to claim reconstructed CGI-animations of the tentacles, the shadow of the boy, etc., to be actual 'evidence'.
It's a dramatization...they try to digitally re-create the things you describe to them when you tell your story.
They do it for every episode and it's just plain stupid that I even need to explain this to you...
You're genuinely delusional lol

reply

I find it very interesting you say I'm delusional, well you are entitled to your
opinion, besides I didn't say what evidence I provided that was your own perception further more If you think it is so stupid then stop watching the show
I do not have to prove anything to anyone especially you, I am sitting here lol
just imaging you in the situation you would of been scared. oh well you have your beliefs and it does not matter God and myself knows the truth and frankly that is all that matters.

reply

I'm inclined to believe. This is more a dramatization so I'm not expecting this to be an investigative show like those live action find-a-ghost shows, which I find incredibly boring, where they try to capture proof. I do not expect this show to offer an evidence, I watch it more for the scares and creep factor-like Ghostly Encounters. You can actually google up some episodes and people from the show to find a backstory of their experiences.

A Huanting can be interesting to view the bias that people hold against other belief systems or religions.

reply

You people need to see a psychologist not a priest!

reply

I am very, very, very creeped out after I started to watch an episode randomly.
I lived in a very upscale area a while ago and there was always strange chatter about one house.
Neighbors who were rich and highly educated people would whisper about the strange history and
suicides that happened at one house over the years.
I was shocked to see the house on an episode tonight. I am recording it, but can't even deal with how surreal it is for an actual story to be done on it.

reply

I believe there is "something" else, I don't believe any of this stuff about demons and the like. I think it's all very minor and overlooked most of the time. I don't believe in mediums, I think we all have some sort of intuition. I think EVPs are garbage.

There's jerks in this life, I think there's jerk presences in the afterlife too.

This is just what I believe, feel free to believe in whatever you want.

reply

I believe because I experienced it, I would not expect someone who has never experienced to believe
