We were in Vienna of Nov 2005. While visiting the Hofburg, we were fortunate enough to actually get to see them filming parts of this movie. What fun! To see the carriages, and all the lovely costumes. It made for a very memorable visit!

I just finished watching this beautiful film last night. I bit of history, actually a lot of history, and wonderful drama. Not knowing much about that particular era, it was fascinating to see, especially observing that little has changed in politics!
