I liked this movie and it beats most U.S. slasher movies.

The story was very good and the acting was between average and good, but excellent compared to the U.S. movies.
It's much better than all Friday the 13th and Halloween films. I just don't like films where some *beep* who never dies by the way, is running around either with a hockey mask or a machete chasing girls that are running away in their underwear.
Heck, "Last House in the Woods" also makes Freddy Krueger in "A Nightmare on Elm Street" look like a stupid, funny clown in his stripe shirt, blades on his fingers, and a ton of make up on his face.
The only thing that maybe I would have loved to see in "The Last House in the Woods" was the girl's boobs because I think she was pretty and hot.
To Hollywood I say: Keep spending your millions of dollars on overpaid bad actors, propaganda, and advertising products to try and brain wash people. I personally think that's what the mainstream wants. Personally, I am watching more European films than ever before.

I expected something from this, and i was very dissapointed. Stupid story, bad acting, some bad lighting in parts, and it could have been a lot better. The girl was a very bad actress and the movie felt cheap and the gore looked stupid too. it was a very bad movie and i am sad that i rented. I gave it a 3/10.

This is my opinion as well. I'm just more generous with ratings. Maybe a 4-5.5/10. Everything felt so cheap, and bad... I didn't enjoy it.

I thought it was a great Italian grindhouse film. They perfectly captured the bad old movies of the 70's. The bad acting, the bad dialogue, bad film cuts. It was so perfect. I felt like I was watching an old 70's horror movie. This was fun.

Amen, I too LOVED this movie & gave it a very high 8/10!

It definitely had that gritty "grindhouse" feel to it. The overuse of the "zoom" reaction shots were CLASSIC! I really enjoyed this one, its a bit silly at times, but I wasn't expecting this movie to break the mold!

The zoom shots sound like vintage Fulci to me! I am going to buy this film based on the descriptions posted here. As a fan of late seventies, early eighties spaghetti horror films, I can appreciate the fact that someone would pay direct homage to them. As much as I love Kurtman, Nicotero and Berger's effects, I long for the day when the master of them all, Gino De Rossi, returns to grindhouse horror. I just watched Fulci's Zombi 2 again, and it is truly a claustrophobic, unrelenting and grim masterpiece from the Godfather of gore. If this film even comes close to those delirious heights, it will be in my permanent collection.

I've got a hundred dollars...let's fall in love.
