did i miss something!? why so many jobs? i thought he said he didnt have those distractions...yet we see him doing the classes, waitering and roadworks! im confused...

He doesn't have those distractions because those jobs don't mean anything to him. They're just a means to make a living. He doesn't care about a few little jobs the way most people would care about a career. At least, that's my interpretation.
