Did you see that..??

Sindin, in the dressing room as the players were dressing and went to Clark and quietly told him to take care of #17 Valery Harlamoff,? You didnt hear it in the movie, but I knew it was coming

Henderson was sitting beside Clark ,and overheard the order and wasn`t pleased with the assignment,...but said nothing.

Clark , as you saw, put Valery out of the game.

Did you see the Russian player kick Bergman?...for Canadian hockey fans , that was the first time we every saw anyone KICKED , with skates on...we were furrious.

Did you see J.P.Paressia, the Smooth Rock Ontario boy when he threaten the reff? Thats how tense players were ...and the referees were that bad...when J.P. did that it got the team going.

Did you see the "Eagle" arrested by the RUSSIAN military , and rescued by the players. The Eagle was upset because the goaljudge did not put the light on and was saying it wasn`t in.....eventually the light went on but only after Al was in our bench.

And did you see when Henderson was on the bench in the last minute in #8 with the game 5-5, he yelled at Peter Mahovalige to come off the ice....Sinden was yelling "what are you doing" but Peter heard Paul and came off,... Paul went on and scored the biggest goal in the history of the game.

Henderson said later in an interview that he had a gut feeling that he could score the winner and thats why he call Peter off...
thats why it is always said , "go with your gut feelings"

In the film it was Ferguson that told Clark to do it not Sindin.

I noticed that too. Henderson criticized that action a few years ago but I always wondered if he felt that same way back then.

reply

I thuoght it was Sindin....Henderson was never in favor of that action but...remained silent for the TEAM, and yes still does object to it , but he has his position and thats fine. Harlamoff was a hacker too.

reply

John Ferguson went to Clark in the dressing room and gave the order not Sinden.

reply

My mistake. Thanks for refreshing my memory. You are correct and it was Ferguson and not Sinden , but I believe that Harry knew about the order before Clark.

Yes the famous slash. Still taints the victory for me. Imagine if it had been the reverse and say Mikailov had slashed Espo or Courneyer and put them out of the series...Don Cherry would still be howling about it.

reply

That taints the victory as opposed to all the cheating the russians did (stealing the canadians food and beer, wire tapping the hotels, late night phone calls, referee tampering?)

It's known Ferguson was the one who told Clark to whack Kharlamov, Ferguson himself admitted it when he was alive.
