First I have to say, this is possibly my favourite level from the game. All that climbing, the amazing views from the tops of the buildings, the sense of isolation and distance up there ... wow.

However, is the first part really necessary? I mean, I can see why they wanted to include it; no doubt being able admire Lara from every angle while she walks around in a VERY revealing outfit has its' appeal for certain players but what does it really add?

And apart from anything, the original character of Lara was very pragmatic and down-to-earth. She would never have had the vanity to take delight in showing off her 'assets' in such a way. Although I'm not complaining, I mean, if you've got it, flaunt it.

I just wondered whether anyone else felt that this was slightly pointless and straying from the character of Lara, as I did.

It didn't bother me. Lara was going to a fancy party, not expecting a gunfight--it makes sense she'd dress that way, which isn't really all that revealing.

As to her being down-to-earth, this is the same woman who explores tombs in short shorts and skimpy outfits. A cleavage-showing dress isn't a big deal.

Though I did have a problem with her breasts. They are so plastic-looking that it looks as if she has implants.

Haha! Not revealing?! Were we playing the same game? LOL.

And I know what you mean about her always being skimpily dressed ... I just felt that there was never before a level where the sole purpose of it was to walk around looking sexy.

Her breasts were rather odd-looking, I thought that too. Gravity-defying even.

Perhaps I am biased as a female player? I mean, I don't mind seeing a good-looking woman, I just felt that this part of the level was rather empty and pointless.

Oh, it was pretty pointless. She walks slower than a crippled ninety-year-old, and it takes about two minutes to get to the actual action. There's no point to it; the level could easily have started off with the cut scene.

You do remember this is the same woman who wears a bikini on the back of the Tomb Raider 2 jewel case, who appears almost nude in the first game's campaign material, and who strips down in front of her gay butler because she's not a "lady?" It's not like she's some delicate flower who doesn't enjoy showing off her body.

And while it's not applicable, the new Lara Croft model likes to show off her really pale crotch.

Huh? Do you mean her naked vagina is really pale, or the clothes she wears?

And about the films, I haven't seen either of them all the way through, so that's why I didn't remember her getting naked in front of her butler, hah.

Her crotch area is very pale. She's doing kicks and weird crouches that come very close to exposing her vagina, and the area around it is as white as chalk. Very weird stuff.

Aah, I see ... I think it must be where her tan has faded because of waxing.

Or maybe she uses fake tan and she didn't apply any there, cause I suppose you wouldn't really think to.

Anyway, I feel sorry for her having a site dedicated to that. Pretty sad really, no?

That's just one site; it's all over the internet. What I don't understand is how those pictures made it online in the first place. They had to have seen how ridiculous it looked.

Yeah, you'd think they'd have airbrushed it out before it hit the internet ... but I suppose people get hold of these things.

What do you think of her anyway? She doesn't really do it for me, I must admit. Although I think it's cool that she really is a gymnast.

She's not the worst Lara model they've used, and she is certainly attractive, but this is a huge step down from the last girl.

As for the gymnastics, I suppose it's cool, but all they really do is stand around and pose.

as a female player to another, i thought it was actually pretty neat. It wasn't drop-deal revealing, but you have to remember that Lara is a good looking woman, men have been in love with her for years, so of COURSE they were going to do something like this becuase most video game players are men. (they never think about female players, i know *sigh*). of course should have worn a catsuit underneath, but i guess they didnt want that.

I loved he Ghana levels too but I loved the Kazakhstan levels as well.
