Is Amanda any different from Von Croy? (spoilers for TLR + L)

I mean, Lara & Von Croy racing to something, something goes wrong, there's no way Lara can save him, she thinks he dies. He returns very bitter and very angry that she 'left him to die' that he wants to get rid of her and obtain the Amulet of Horus. Horus possesses him after he steals the amulet and then turns evil.

Amanda & Lara racing with friends in a cave. Something happens, Lara can't save her. No way for her to save her, she escapes and thinks Amanda's died. Amanda returns very bitter and very angry thinking that Lara 'left her for dead.' Amanda wants the Excalibur and wants to go to Avalon. She somehow merges with the entity that led to their friends dying and she wants revenge on Lara and tries to kill her.

Did anyone else think this, too? That Amanda's similar to Von Croy? Even though, Werner changed and tried to save Lara, Amanda remained cold and bitter, a little like AoD Lara. Was Amanda like Werner Von Croy, to you?

the ONLY difference with Von Croy and Amanda is that towards the end, Von Croy actually tried to help Lara escape from the Tomb that was about to callapse. and considering that he took his hat off as a sign of respect for the dead after it callapse, i got the feeling that he still cared for her.

Amanda however just can't over herself. she wanted Lara to die with her. Lara's options were to Leave and save herself or Drown. Plus Amanda lived anyway, so if Lara had stayed, she would have died for nothing. Amanda just acts like she's the ONLY perfect person that deserves to be praised. Now at the end of Underworld, they cut out the extended ending, so hopefully they can patch up their differences in the next story.

Actually, Amanda tried to save Lara at the end of Legend, telling her to pull the sword out before it blew. Lara, savage that she is, chose to ignore it and threaten to murder Amanda.

There is a man...he travels fast...he has purpose...he brings violence and destruction.

I say their same we have old geezer who nuts and a cheater lol the race in tomb raider 4 and Amanda has gone complete nuts especially when she came back for tomb raider underworld and make you wonder how Lara can keep her sanity level down when two psychos are after her

LOL, Darkalessa good point. Lara seems to be a crazy magnet haha! Crazy things happen around her and crazy people want her dead. Just another day in the life of Lara Croft.
