A response to Dr. Alec's comment

And you think you know what you are talking about???????? Please “Dr Alec”!!!!!! As an average audience for this movie, I find your comment kind of malicious and a comment extended more by jealousy than genuine intentions to construct. With out disregarding or arguing your opinion, I have to say I respectfully disagree with what you are saying. And more than that I think that sultanes del sur is an excellent job, The ending I love, it’s a great twist that if you look at the movie (more than once) you will find that the story prepares you for that ending. From the very beginning you are told what Silverios plan was. And most people don’t get it till the end… That’s a genuine surprise. And regarding the originality of the picture I have to say that I haven’t seen an original picture in a long time… Most story lines were exposed and developed since Shakespeare. And I have to say I haven’t seen an action picture like this in Latin America Cinema. Its extremely well made, characters are, as you mentioned well acted (despite the fact that you didn’t like the story) In my opinion they didn’t have an academy award script, but also the filmmakers and Tony Dalton DIDN’T PRETEND TO HAVE ONE!!! Its an ACTION PICTURE!!!!! not “Little Miss Sunshine”, or “Talk to her”…. Its an outstanding effort to create an entertaining picture, a well made, well developed, well acted, fun to watch, and a magnificent display of visual content and combination of music and image. Fun plot, and Fun set-up. I think that Mexicans are too vicious and pretentious with there own product and too easy going with American product… This is a Frenetic action picture… a work of art in its genre… and A great effort to make Mexican Cinema that is not pretentious and ego director driven material that nobody else understand and care about. My sincere congratulations to the filmmakers……
And Dr. Alec… next Mexican picture you watch… please go to the movies with out the idea that you will see “Cañitas”, or “hasta el viento tiene Miedo” … perhaps then you will find originality for NORMAL PEOPLE… and maybe.. you can have some fun…

Thats exactly why most of the time i dont even care to watch mexican movies, and i really wanted sultanes del sur to surprise me like matando cabos did, but it was really all that Dr Alec said about it, sorry, but if i like a certain quality of movies why would i have to low my standard just because its a mexican movie, and rate it higher because they tried?
