Agnes of God?

I don't know a ton about this movie yet, but from what I've heard so far it sounds a lot like Agnes of God, a play about a psychiatrist who's investigating this young, somewhat crazy girl named Agnes who's an incredibly devout Christian. Agnes ended up having a baby and the psychiatrist has to figure out if Agnes killed the baby or not.

Does anyone know if it the movie's based off the play, because it'd be really interesting to see and compare and contrast if it was.

It would make total sense that the idea came from Agnes Of God. It does sound very similiar.

While, "Agnes of God" crossed my mind as well, I think it comes from an unfortunate fact of life.

I think this movie owes a lot to "Agnes of God," a much better film. I don't think this is based on "Agnes," but I found it somewhat distracting because thematically, the female leads have a similar relationship.

I asked the same thing when I spoke to Brougher last May. They're not related.

I fnally saw it and the films really are nothing alike.

Is someone getting the best, the best, the best, the best of you?

They do sound similar when you put it that way, but I don't think they had anything to do with each other and they couldn't be more different (for two films with similar subject matter). Both excellent films though.

Wow. I read Agnes of God like a year ago and I never put two and two together. Hmm.

I hope you like feminist rants because that's kind of my thing.
