Time travel question x_X

I loved everything about this game, but after awhile of thinking about it, I thought of a very confusing question
So the Prince brought Kaileena into the present, thus preventing the creation of the Sands of Time and erasing everything that happened in the first game, but if the Sands of Time never existed, then how did the Vaizer know that killing Kaileena would create the sands. Better yet, how did the Vaizer even know of the Sands of Time?
This is probably a dumb question, but usually plots involving time travel confuse the hell out of me ^_^

"Why would they want the Duke's...son killed?"

The Vizier explains in his first narration that the dagger showed him Kaileena, it "stirred" before him.

He also had many texts from the empress' library which mentioned the sands. And somebody who's lived that long and been an advisor that long is going to know how to do research and study material.

But if Kaileena never died in the past and the sands were never created, then how would there ever be texts or anything written on something not yet created?

Kaileena was in the midst of creating the sands when the Prince showed up. She would surely have mentioned something as important as that to her scribes if she didn't have a diary herself. She was a bit of a prophetess, and knew how things would turn out. She more or less revealed to us near the end of the game that she had a large part in orchestrating everything that happened in the game and thus she would have done what she could to put into motion what was necessary for the Prince to change the time line into what would be the optimal time line. Her sacrifice was necessary for this to happen, and she knew this. Thus she would have planted exactly what was needed for the Vizier so he could do his part. In the end, Kaileena is both to blame and praise for everything that happened in the Prince's present time, good or ill.

Thanks
that makes sense ^_^

No problem....My biggest worry was that I'd not be able to say what I was trying to say clearly. I'm glad I was able to do that, and help you in the process.

reply

yeah you made perfect sense
I just didn't know that Kaileena had been in the process of making the Sands.
I thought that just when Kaileena had died, and the sands were created, then everyone discovered the sands, their powers, their accesories, etc.
thanks again ^_^
