If the made another game what should it be about?

Yeah, I think they should make a new story line. I was thinking the prince is reincarnated(sp?)(or a descendant of his) in modern days and something happens involving the sands and/or the dagger. Remember when Kilenna (sp?) said she had to find another world, maybe she ment the future. How cool would that be??

I haven't played through Two Thrones yet but

if they were gonna make a new sands of time game, they should simply write off this universe, and make a new string of pop games, instead them being with a new theme, and the only carry over is the excessive traps.

Like when they remade the original pop into sands of time, they'll turn pop into Pop: blank.

They could also allude to the sands of time, but have it based on something other than the sands of time, instead maybe the house of persia and its formation, or etc.

I personally think the time theme should be kept, but synthesized and streamlined, like making a new game where the ability to control time is just a side note and really not part of the story. I'd like to see dynamic castles with crazy traps again too, but having the time thing just for play use, not based in the story. Because honestly, I don't care how scrappy you are, everyone misses that wall run, touches the wall earlier and falls to death.

reply

maybe a new storyline in time of the 20th century :P

On the January 2006 Official Xbox Magazine Demo Disc, there are interviews with different people working on PoP. In the first interview, the guy said that as of T2T, the Sands of Time trilogy was over, but that Prince of Persia fans can expect more about the Prince in future. So, yeah, that would mean new storylines (YES!) and probably new characters, nicely interjected with old characters as well.

reply

if that doesn't tell you anything then i don't what will. i believe that yeah, the prince is not done being in the franchise, but the sands are, keileena took the dagger and so order was restored to the ancient land of persia. if they did anything else, it would have to happen with a completely new story. new characters. it'll be cool though. Ubi will find a way to revamp the series into an even better one

The Hitokiri is untouchable.

reply

Hmmm... maybe what goes on with the Prince after The Two Thrones, perhaps like the fall of Babylon...

reply

they should backwards rather than forwards. Perhaps you have to play the Maharaja in their quest to find the sands and the dagger of time

Or, as someone else has said, they should start the games fresh with a brand new theme

reply

no cause that would be WW alover again..

i say, leave it be..
stop when you reach the top..and they have if they go any futher it will make them fall.
this way it will keep its rememerance as a classic.

and the idea to put it in the mid 20th beginning 21th centoury..no there is nothing enchanted, mythical, ''sword fight'' (now we use guns), no palaces in our time. if the prince's timeline is set now,.. he'd have no chance what so ever to win.
there are no warriors in our time that reflects their greatness, darkness, honor..
this time we live in basicly sucks..

the prince has earned his rest,.. they can always make a new game with a great story, great platforming,..the only thing he's going to worry about is how to make farah marry him.

reply

I really dislike the idea of POP being in the 20th century. One of the main reasons I enjoy this game is because of the setting - no cars races, no snipers, no bombers, no tanks, etc. Those games get on my nerves. I love the sword fights, I really hope it will not turn into a Bond shoot out.

I personally wouldnt mind if UBI just made another Prince with the sands, even though they said it would be their last. Oh, and I would like to agree with Concequences, our time really does suck.

The World Is Quiet Here

reply

yeah,....it really does!!!

for no sin is possible in the land of the Blessed nor war in the house of peace.

reply

HEy,

iF THEY MAKE ANOTHER SERIES, IT SHOULD BE CALLED King of Persia

For all of you who b eat the 2 thrones, you know that the King is dead and the Prince has taken the THRONE. He isnt Prince anymore. He is KING

Maybe King of Persia: The Rise of Babylon

reply

The Prince of Persia series is over a decade old, and in each new iteration of the series, the prince is still the prince. The previous story line is disregarded and a brand spankin' new one is brought in. So don't expect our nameless hero to be ruling over any kingdoms anytime soon.

reply

There's one person who posted on this thread who said that they hadn't finished the game yet. Who knows how many others who haven't finished the game have read all of this without posting. The Prince makes a pretty big point about hoping to meet his father. But now that aspect of the plot is ruined for those who haven't seen it for themselves yet. Perhaps a spoiler warning next time, hm?

EDIT: Thanks.

reply

Or how about a new Prince altogether? Maybe his son or something. I want that. The current prince is a wuss. He spent half the game talking about his father, hoping he was still alive. That kind of thing just makes it blatantly obvious the old guy was gonna kick the bucket. Not that it had any emotional impact whatsoever.

i don't really give a rats ass, as long as they do make more!!! but i like the Prince how he is...he is a bit of a tool tho. I liked him better when he was all angry and frustrated in WW.

You're only young once, but you can be stupid your entire life

reply

To those who think a modern PoP would be a good idea....Have you seen the Middle East these days? Iraq, Iran, etc, those are the lands that the Persians once called their own. To put the Prince in a modern time would probably detract from the experience, simply because Babylon is not the superpower it once was.

Besides, the PoP series has a bit of a semi-fantasy element, and putting the series in modern times would also take some of that away.

That's my two cents, anyone agree? Disagree?

reply

I think it should be something involving Greece. I mean, the Persians were rivals with the Greeks...it's nice to have some historical accuracy in a game like this. Even if it's fantasy, it just helps add to the feeling of realism that could be created by this world.
I came up with a storyline involving the Greeks a while back...a lot of people think it's pretty good...but they might be biased. I'll post it if people want me to.

The Prince of the last game, now King or Persia, has been happily married to Farah since the end of The Two Thrones. He has had two sons and a daughter, the eldest of whom he named after his (the King's) father (Sharaman).
Queen Farah, sadly, died at the birth of their fourth child, and that child grew up shunned and neglected by his kin. Yet he became quite the soldier and still retained upmost affection for his father, who had since been broken by the death of his wife.
One day, the King sets out on an adventure. He tells no one, leaving in the dead of night. A week of worry passes, and he finally returns, wounded to the point at which he hangs from life by a thread.
With him, he has a magnificent sword. Stronger than all the weapons of Persia, the golden scriptures on the blade shone with elegance, yet when the sword touched his hand, it glowed red.
Miles away in Athens, the King hears of the Persian's latest prize, and, in pure jealousy, sends out a group of men to steal it late at night. They manage to break into the palace undetected until one guard yells out just as he is killed.
The [shunned] Prince runs down the stairs, unarmed and confused. In the palace chamber, he is confronted by eight men, each of them wearing armor and wielding a sword or sorts. But they are tired.
This serves as the training level.
After killing them, he runs upstairs to where his father kept his Sword, but unfortunately, the Greeks got away with it before he managed to get there.
Outraged, the King of Persia sends out his strongest army, along with his second and third sons, and raids Athens. He kills the Athenian King's son, and this is where The Prince begins to realize that the sword may be more than just a weapon.
Having anticipated the raid, the Athenian army captured the Persian vessels and, when the Persian army boarded, they were all abducted and taken to their fate.
The Prince manages to escape from the ship with the help of one of the Athenian soldiers. Who later turns out to be a woman in disguise.
In an attempt to save the Persian fleet, the two of them fight their way into the Athenian Harbour, but are too late. Instead, they steal a small vessel and sail back to Babylon where they attempt to request the help of the second Babylonian army.
The city has come under attack, so the Prince has to fight his way into the city.
The remaining forces are being spent fighting off the Athenian soldiers, so preparing to attack Athens would take too much time. The Prince, impatient, returns to Athens and breaks into the Palace.
He's beaten down by the King's final line of soldiers just as the woman who saved him from the ship leaves his side, and sent into the prisons.
The woman rescues him again, and now, several days later, the city has finally come under attack by the Persian soldiers.
With the Palace weakened, the Prince attacks and makes it to the throne room, where he faces off with the Athenian King. The moment he makes it into the Throne Room, he sees King execute his father, who was on his knees, dejected at the Athenian's feet.
The Prince, enraged, faces off against the King, and after a long battle, he cuts off the King's hand and decapitates him with the Sword that started it all.
But this is not the end. The woman suddenly attacks him, trying to get the sword. The Prince tries to keep it from her, tries to save her, but she fights him, almost kills him, and so he knocks her out and leaves her on the floor, as he picks up his father's body and takes it back home for the funeral.

reply

This is just a thought.... FIRST I WOULD SAY THAT I AM ONLY 15 YEARS OLD AND HAVE A YOUTHFUL IMAGINATION. IF U DO NOT AGREE WITH THIS IDEA, THAT IS FINE - BUT DO NOT TREAT MY IDEAS LIKE I AM AN ADULT.

I would like it if they could make a co-op PoP.

Here is my storyline about the new PoP:

the Prince becomes king, marries Farah and has four children. After about 20 years, war breaks out into Babylon and Farah and the Prince are KIA. The children are captured by the vizier's son. The Sands of Time AND the Dagger of Time are incorpirated somewhere in here, but I can't think of how just yet. The Sands spread and annialate everything, except the children. (If anyone has any ideas on how they will be protected, please help me)

This is where the game begins.

The oldest child, a son, is the strongest and has the same traits as the Prince - he carries the Dagger of Time.

the second child, a girl, can shoot arrows like Farah (with auto-aiming)

the third child, a son, has more battle strength than agility and dual-wields two swords - he can unleash deadly combos.

The fourth child, a girl, is more athletic than strong. She can switch from using a sword to using two daggers.

In this way at least two people could play at the same time:
-making the battles even better - there can be co-op kill moves
-solving the platform puzzles requires teamwork
-fighting the bosses could be easier

Up to four players can play (two for those with PS - PlayStation). Each player can control the Prince's four children, the characters that are left are CPU controlled.

I don't know, this are just some thoughts, but I would like it if they make a co-op PoP. What do you think??

PS: YES, there is single player. You can switch between any player you want at any time

reply

Ohhh it would be so great if they made another game!!

reply

no i liked your story, but i dont want that theare was pop4 thats all

reply

hey. wait. degar and the sands are destroyd in t2t

reply

Yeah, I just realized that, sorry. Maybe there is just a co-op PoP, with a new storyline

NEWS FLASH: SUICIDAL TWIN KILLS BROTHER BY MISTAKE

reply

well..the sands aren't exactly destroyed because kaileena IS the sands, in a sense...something has to flow so that time moves forward, but now kaileena controls the sands. as far as the dagger....who's to say? is the dagger created to control the sands? or does the dagger exist because the sands exist? maybe there is always a dagger...plus, isn't the amulet still at the bottom of the ocean where the prince left it?

i've been thinking about it, and i think the prince should become the king, then years later his son has grown to about his father's age at the time of sands of time, and has trained in all the same areas in an attempt to emulate his father. his father has told him all the stories of things that happened to him throughout the trilogy.

then something happens...maybe someone finds a way, some back door or something, to control the sands of time, and kaileena is forced to use what's strength she has left to contact the old prince(now king) for help. she either drags the amulet up from the ocean, or sends him after it. he gets ready to go, but is old now...his son steps in, and argues with him, saying he should go instead. the king tells him he's never controlled the sands of time and isn't prepared. the son reminds him that the king survived the crucible when he fought the vizier at roughtly the same age, with no prior training or preparation.

finally the king sends him off, only better equipped than he ever was.

the game could focus on travelling to the stronghold of the enemy and working your way through a massive castle or palace or whatever to try and kill him. the game could also involve new things like adding a bow and arrow, reconfiguring the sands of time use and basically reinventing the character and the way it's played, but maintaining the selling point for the games: THE SANDS OF TIME.

reply

Uh....again.....The Prince of Persia series has been around for a VERY LONG TIME. Attention teeny-boppers! "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" is NOT, I repeat, IS NOT the first Prince of Persia title!

The PoP series is NOT continous to the previous storylines in prior installments.

Can I state it any more clearly than that?

Chances are that in a few years, another PoP title will be released and it will have ignored the Sands of Time Trilogy, just as the SoT trilogy ignored the story line of PoP 3D, which ignored the PoP game that was released prior to it, which ignored the PoP game that was released prior THAT title, and so on and so forth.

If Ubisoft knows what it's doing (and that's a bit of a shaky assumption) they will NEVER release "The King of Persia." The PRINCE will always stay the PRINCE.

But only time will tell.

reply

maybe they should make a game in a kind of ghost place where someone steals the dagger off kaileena and she can go into different peoples back on earth and you can play as them trying to get the dagger back. eg if your health is down you can just go inside someone else and get full health. not actually about the Prince just with bits from the game. and it doesnt have to be swords you could do hand to hand combat too. then at the end a big boss battle with the guy who stole the dagger, maybe a man or a woman or a monster or sumthing.

i think that wud be cool

reply

on second thought, how about the prince dies when hes a bit older and the dagger is given to him when he reaches the spirit world, but then its stolen and so on. it could be called prince of persia: spirit world
