How did the yellow Mini Cooper get up inside the garage apartment. If Thaddeus had been in possession of the car, then I would have understood, since I saw him build a Cooper from scratch previously. But, how did Barkley do it?
I do not know the answer, except that they had several HOURS to do it, and it did NOT have to be the SAME car. Maybe they used a helicopter, as they claimed was done to put the mall car into place (I have never heard of that myself, they usually have at least one set of doors they can unhinge to allow cars and boats into the mall. Whatever.)
No. No. No. Near the end of the movie, Barkley somehow, all by himself, got the yellow Mini into the apartment above his parent's garage. That's what I'm wondering about
He had the time, for sure. Maybe he found instructions on the Internet? I suppose Minis are especially easy or something as well. He could have picked it up when he was "kidnapped" as well. Whatever.
If dolphins are so smart, how come they live in igloos
that is definitely something i thought about too.. i think we are supposed to believe that, Barkley while he was kidnapped, he saw his brother practicing putting the mini cooper together for the mall heist i guess? and being that he was pretty smart himself, that is all he needed, (besides car parts) to put the car together himself?
that is the only explanation i can come up with. just like how he was some how a pro at using a REAL remote controlled mini cooper to drive through the mall, he was also a great mechanic lol.. i liked the movie, but yeah 2 scenes that dont make complete sense involving mini coopers lol.
but i guess the mini cooper deserved to be in a movie again after all, the last time i saw a cool scene with a mini was in the italian job lol, and the first bourne movie. lol.
There was plenty of time to learn how to control the Mini Cooper for the mall run as well as learn how to disassemble & reassemble the yellow Mini Cooper as there were several days interlude between various scenes.
However, to prepare a car, such as a Mini Cooper, for remote control does take a bit of time, several hours I imagine, rather than the several seconds shown. Just on a pratical note, there has to be servo motors to control steering, aceleration & braking as well as the remote control circuits, which the Mini Cooper (as with all cars) does not come equipped with. One could believe that those elements were installed off screen however the film implies that these control elements were installed in seconds by attaching a single device under the floor pan while the crowd is distracted by the trash talking Santa.
As far as Barkley controlling the mini cooper, don't you remember the guy at the book store telling Max that Barkley hung out there everyday doing nothing but playing his Gameboy.
