More Disturbing Films WITHOUT Idiot Girls

Although I wasn't particularly "disturbed" by this fine little film, it did hold my attention throughout its length and I loved the performances. If this is indeed a horror/thriller, I'd like to see more films of the like that don't feature stupid young girls whose primary purpose is eye-candy or acting like, well, stupid young girls. It's very hard to find little-known ones like that - something like Session 9. Suggestions would be humbly appreciated.

Red, White & Blue is indeed an excellent film, and one whose ''reveal'' at the
end (the photo) was something I didn't see coming at all. Thanks for the reply,
Loxie! And yeah, them sex scenes were pretty hard, but it just made me dig the
actress's, uh, bravery(?),although the character herself is very unsympathetic.
One who IS rather sympathetic is the lead in Broken(2006), the horror/thriller,
not the drama/thriller(there are 2). Not for all tastes, but recommended by me!
