today, at the Monterrey film festival. we had the latin american premiere. soo the movies is amazing, the music all by mars volta which fits perfectly, great acting by all actors, as good as the book. watch itt!!

Saw it at the festival as well. I really didn't like the movie. I think the acting is great and the premise of a schizo who dreams about a buffalo is interesting but after the first half of the movie the characters just didn't develop and the story didn't lead to anything interesting.

What's with camila sodi's scene? What was the point of it? Just see her naked?

If you haven't seen it and you are wondering, there is A LOT of nudity, and I mean A LOT.

Should have stayed home with a good old porno and a beer.

the music was ok... i didn't know that the mars volta donated their music.... pretty fantastic i guess.

but we need to be real... the movie is crap crap crap.. nudity is the principal topic on it... and sex.. just sex... i don't know if arriaga justified this on his book, but... it wasn't necessary to show a lot of skin... it's not a marguerite Duras movie... and the explicit nudity scenes were necessary on the movie adaptations.

i haven't seen the movie, although from all the comments it seems it sucks.

however i don't see how nudity must be justified. unless someone would have a problem watching naked bodies, which i'm sure you don't.

if you're telling the story of titanic then sure, it would be weird if everyone was nude because that's not what happened. that we know of.

but otherwise i don't see the problem in showing a lot of nudity.

am i like the only one who liked this movie?....guess so...hey i dont blame anyone though...i like a lot of "good" movies and a lot of "bad" movies...im just that way

I'm not sure in what way the film should be judged. It hugely depends on what you expected to see. It cannot be paralleled with porn cause it's not any. I just felt like i got into someone's nightmare twice as scaring as something you might expect. And it felt like a selectively cut piece of real life, just to shock an audience. I could only say that i forgave everething weird of the film for the last 5 minutes before the end. Probably that was a clue to the whole story as Manual desperatly needs to be loved which turns out to be more important than his own life. I'm no fan of Diego Luna but it would be hard to forget his last look at the policeman. In my opinion a film should be memorable. This one is.

the movie started out good, it really caught me after they went back when the schizo was alive n showed how both of them loved her, but then it became a story of diego and the girl not knowing who they were and having sex to forget it. was he renting the motel the whole time?? music was good but it was not amazing, just because omar did it, i mean he did a good job and props for him but its not anything from another world. movie could have been better, im interested in the book now, see if its any different. has anyone read it?
