I have no idea, but something I was concerned about was just spending-cash. She's going to need money just for other things, while she's on these travels. Maybe I'm just expecting too much detail from a TV show, lol.

reply

$300,000 is a reasonable price. It would vary on the specifics though of course.

o ok. thx.

Quite believable.

Sailing on the Queen Mary II, Starting in Ft.Lauderdale, FL and sailing "westward" to South Hampton, England (i.e. through the Carribian, down the Atlantic and around South America, up the Pacific to San Francisco, across the Pacific to Austraila, through Indonesia, through the Indian Ocean to the Red Sea, through the Suez Canal, through the Mediteranian and the Straights of Gibralter and then to England) will take you 65 days and, depending on how it is booked and how fancy you wish to get will cost you anywhere from $18,000 for little, cramped, inside cabin with no windows, to $333,000 for a "Grand Duplex" (i.e. top of the line, first class).

Several of my uncles and aunts go for 65 days cruises through the East Coast of the America continent, a few other times they went for 120 days cruises that go also from the America to Europe and they never spend more than 30-45k per trip including all the other expenses, and they travel in style and comfort, not exatcly in 'economic class', US$300,000 for a cruise? you gotta be kidding me he probally rented the Queen Mary ship to transport her and the Queen herself to give the tour.

PS: r u sure ur aunt/uncles trips were as extensive as the queen mary's ( the Queen Mary II: Starting in Ft.Lauderdale, FL and sailing "westward" to South Hampton, England . It visits along the wasy the the Carribbean, down the Atlantic and around South America, up the Pacific to San Francisco, across the Pacific to Austraila, through Indonesia, through the Indian Ocean to the Red Sea, through the Suez Canal, through the Mediteranian and the Straights of Gibralter and then to England) & included everything ( food, cleaning, gambling, games, etc )....I hope so. Plus ur aunt/uncles was just 65 days vs the qm's 120 days

All depends on when and how you buy your passage.
Check the website for Cunard and Queen Mary II and look at the rates and then do the conversion from Pounds to Dollars.

Granted... that $333,000 quoted was for the "Grand Duplex" (sort of the penthouse of the ship) with no discounts for early booking or travel agent.

s l fake,
R u sure about the price? koK warlock says( C BELOW ) it is at most $45k based on his aunt/uncles trips. But dont know if the stops are as many & the same as urs.

I would love to visit all the places u listed, does the queen mary 2 stop in each place & allow the passengers 2 actually visit the countries ( prolly* not since the trip is just 65 days ). The $333k grand deplux price u quoted, is that everything included( food, cleaning, gambling, games, etc)... I hope so.

*Re ur PROBABLY not prolly signature I had to do it I say prolly all the time! Funny that its ur signature.

Just do as I did and go to the Cunard / Queen Mary II website and look it up.
By the way... those fares are listed as for "UK residents only"... not sure what us Yanks may have to pay.

As for the details... I don't know... I'm no travell agent. Again, its all on their site.

Not quite $300,000, no, but six figures is definitely possible:

he bought her the room itself for the year thats def how much it would be i watched this special on vh1 about people who buy rooms on cruises. if a weeks cruise is 2000 for one person 2000x52= 104 000 now thats just for the trip and then theres port fees and insurance and that he bought her the actual room

reply

Listen, does it really matter anyways???? The show must have advisors to research what a cruise around the world would be for the entire year and I bet if the guest was staying on board the ship that long don't you think they would get at discount from a travel agency??? After researching my travel agancy fr cruises and I go on a lot, that the price was prety close with discounts and all.

reply

I believe what he said he bought her was a lease on a ship for a room to wherever/whenever/however often.. kind of like a vacation home, except it's a room on a ship. I actually do believe such a thing exists, though this show never did research anything too well (2nd ep with the whole "francs" vs. "euro" unit of money in france) so perhaps they just pulled that amount out of their asses.
