Anothe rissue not mentioned here is the way the media wind things up, local people are selling their homes to buy food to sell. There are reports of hour long traffic jams at the border. When it comes to it theres about 3 coaches and its all over in 20 minutes. We see this time and time again in the UK the media wind people up into a frenzy and then it never happens.

I was disappointed this was not given as one of the reasons why the daughter decides to give up her dreams on working in the media.

It's clear when she hands over the radio and joins her father walking down the road, but it's a shame she wasn't watching her father's reaction to the TV in the bar for instance when he goes into a rage as the announcer is making simpering comments like 'come back!'
