My thoughts on Season 2
I saw Season 1, and it was great. It had 75% action and 25% comedy (courtesy of Constantine and Gus or the G-Man). If you watch Season 2, it is a shark jumper. Here's why:
Season 1 was like a mixture of DEXTER'S LABORATORY, POWERPUFF GIRLS and (our favorite) MY LIFE AS A TEENAGE ROBOT. It was 75% serious action and adventure (with some sci-fi) and 25% comedy.
However, in Season 2, it is completely different. It has a wacky feeling too it. It somewhat stole elements of such wacky shows from America, like FAIRLY ODDPARENTS, BILLY AND MANDY and MY GYM PARTER IS A MONKEY. The Tommy and Gus interaction is starting to turn into Abbot and Costello. Apart from ruthless behavior and villains you cannot see with a straight face, there is crude humor (which increased) and American cartoon sound effects (Season 1 didn't have those Hanna Barbera noises).
Here is the big WTF in the show. Animals that act like people! Usually they are mutated by scientists. But they are there for no apparent reason. In the episode, "Up a Tree", a squirrel was coming out of a latrine, walking on two legs, carrying a newspaper and telling Gus that the latrine is all his. In "Robo-Gus and the G-Machine" Two of the "students" cheering for him are a rhinoceros and an elephant. In the episode, "Stuck on You", one of boy-scouts in Klaus' flashback was a bear! In "The Legend of Brainy Yak", Dave is a Badger wearing a policeman's cap, taking care of the Yaks and doing his security guard-like job. Ludwig the Orangutan, who takes care of Kluas von Affencugle, in "The Six Million-Euro Man", I think it is animal instinct when he is taking care of the German weakling.
Ugh! This show has jumped the shark alright.
And if you click on this link. This is how much it franchised:

I prefer buying the franchise than watching Season 2.
What do you think?
