Why the girls were kept separated from each other as kids? I know they were experimenting with Diva, but why keep her isolated? Why was it her exactly? Did she show more of a mean streak as little babies or something? I dont remember if they ever explained all that?
shareI believe it was a random choice. An experiment on Joel Goldschmidts part. It is never explained fully but as both the cocoons had no differing characteristics, he may have been looking at it from a purely scientific viewpoint; to raise one as a human & leave the other to be treated like a lab rat or neglected. Even though he raised Saya as his own daughter, she was still in my opinion a test subject, there to be studied/observed over the years.

I agree with you. I don't think there was a real reason why they made Diva be isolated and Saya have a normal life. I think it probably was because they were supposed to be twins, exactly the same, so they wanted to put it in two different possiblities, one as a no name test subject, and another, as a regular human. Or, as regular as she can be. xD
