they didn`t even show her dying, all we see is her mother and the guy crying, it`s like the director didn`t want to pay the actress so he let her go early and faked the rest,what a letdown.

For a lot of movie watchers, seeing a kid die onscreen is considered for lack of a better term...taboo. I think that's why you don't see Abigail's character die.

A deathbed scene would have been horrible and mawkishly and I would not have wanted to watch it. But having said that I was really surprised she did die. I just assumed they would find a cure because that's the kind of movie this was.
