Suspenseful and Terrifying
Going onto this message board I fully expected much more love than hate relating to this movie. Boy how wrong I was..
I absolutely love this movie, possibly my favorite horror film of all time, and was never able to look away from the screen. What made this movie so memorable is the suspense from the very first knock on the door: "Is Tamara home?" To the ever end of the film: "because you were home."
Absolutely terrifying what made this movie so scary was the realism. It's take on the horror genre, not the overused paranormal and exorcism flick, but rather a home invasion. This creates a scenario that Everyone can relate to and imagine themselves in, and watching it in a dark hole creates an even more terrifying environment.
I remember not wanting to be home alone long after I watched this movie, and still to this day hate when noises go off in my house when I am alone.
I have watched this movie multiple times and it never fades or fails to be greatly suspenseful and terrifying. So why all the hate? I loved this movie
