Was the chaacter of Amos a real person ? I saw 2 other movies about Jeffrey Dahmer, The Secret Life Of Jeffrey Dahmer Which I liked, and Dahmer which was so so. In Raisng the detective shoots himself, it is not clear if it was a dream, or if it happened! I tried to find information on the chaacter but there is nothing out there about anyone named Amos. The movie was very misleading. Does anyone out there know if he really existed?
shareAmos was a composite of a few detectives. That outcome never happened. There was a documentary on TLC that featured both detectives; The Mind of a Serial Killer, I think.

shareThe detective amos thing was so *beep* dumb. He appeared in two scenes and contributed nothing to the story whatsoever. I can understand the circumstances they may have wanted to convey, but they crafted it horribly. "My daughter got killed robbing a store, I'm gonna kill myself."
