I thought it was really interesting - Love is a very strong word, but it was definitely good.

This might be the first time that I can remember seeing a film about an authentic sexual predator where the point of view is completely from the perspective of his loving family, Very disconcerting....The film was very "D-Quality", yet an ambitious approach.

I found it strange and sad, just like the reality.
The jazz score put it into the realm of a reverie, thinking back--"how did it all happen, what could I have done differently?" from Dad poor Dad, Jeffry's hiding things in the closet/basement/storm drain/his psyche and he's feeling so sad..

Had a "this could happen to any of us" feel to it that stays with you.

What a tremendous jazz score that was! Very moody and introspective, with some dramatic turns when the story called for it.

As for the film, I went in expecting to hate it, but I have to admit it grew on me. This film feels a bit synthetic, as any attempt to get at the truth in this case would, but it doesn't pretend to be anything it's not. We'll never get at the truth about "what went wrong," but this is a well-meaning attempt to convey a father's anguish. The performances weren't outstanding, but they weren't embarrassing either.

Whether it's accurate or not, only Lionel Dahmer can say. But I believe it gave me just a bit more insight than I had before. 6 stars out of 10.

Dahmer (2002) with Jeremy Renner is probably the best JD movie out there in my opinion. First of all, Jeremy Renner is an outstanding actor. He did a great Dahmer....I just wish the Stacy Edwards fiasco was in it.

you can watch the whole thing on youtube, good quality. (or Netflix if you have it)
