Why didn't they give credit to the original film

I'm sorry if I'm wrong, but I didn't see any word mentioning that this is the re-make. And they didn't give any credit to the original writers of the story, not in the begining and the end credit.

They just put 3 or 4 names in the begining as co-producers, which is ridiculous, because those names are just the executives of the film company of the original one. They didn't know any d*** thing about making this film or creating the story.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I thought when you re-make a film. You have to at least give the courtesy of mentioning that it is based on the original film. The Grudge gave Juon a credit, so did The Ring, and Lakehouse.

Isn't this rude?

Ya i agree with you, i loved the original and it deserves credit...this movie like most american remakes doesnt come to par w/ the original

They didn't want them to know that there WAS an original movie... >.>

Shutter: They are Around Us (2004) Thai film.

If you were offended by the preceding post, go make one yourself.

"Nobody" watches the credits.

What original anyway? :|
What's a co-producer? :|

O.K maybe I know what a co-producer is...

I just saw this today & it was lackluster especially compared to the original's atmosphere.

Hey OP, you're permitted to type the word 'damn' without asterisks, dots, shift-numbers on a keyboard. Damned, damnation, are also permitted. Even in evolution-banning counties in red-state USA.

It's a good question. It's widely known it's a remake of a Thai film. I would have thought that legally, the producers would have had to acknowledge the earlier film in some way and they don't seem to have done that.🐭
