I saw a copy of this movie at a dvd store and regretted not buying it immediately for fear that it would be just another movie which I would watch and simply put aside. I am a movie lover who watches almost all genres of movies and would have appreciate a good one even when it has a homosexual theme ... I will definitely buy it the next time I see this but can anyone answer a question of mine first; does this movie has a happy or sad ending, such that did the two end up together or not?? Not that it would have change anything but I kinda want a happy ending for the two of them ...

Go ahead and get it - there's a happy ending. I found the film to be charming, but rather slow. The characters are all nice, but nothing happened. The two main characters were friends growing up. One went into the military, and then came back. They admit to each other that they're gay and have feelings for each other - always did. That's it. There are some very nice scenes between the characters, but the film lacks a strong story.
