I have to say it
this is a great movie not just because of the way they shot Washington heights but the way the interaction manifested by the characters (that's what happens when you have credible actors with a good script)-worth renting!

PS: To the folks reading this who haven't seen the film (and hopefully not giving too much away), the quote "Boats leak. It's the nature of things." aptly displays the moral relativism of Francis Sr. that gets the whole Tierney family (and the NYPD) into a lot of trouble. It's just one example of how this film makes moral statements without moralizing. Very intelligent film.

Gritty. Ed Norton at his best, Colin Farrell at his best as well, people give Colin a lot of crap but a movie like this shows who he is. I love this movie.
shareColin Farrell at his best . Absolutely . He'll never play a character that good again . Best acting he's done yet . But Norton , no way his best . American History X , Primal Fear and People vs. Larry Flynt are his best. This one can maybe be his fourth best .
