That was a fantastic, original moment. And yes, it was over the top, which partially explains why he sacrificed himself to the mob at the end, to atone for his dastardlyness.

The scene before he was making a big song and dance about that dude showing up to HIS house with HIS family... very next scene it's baby-ironing time... although I think it was intentional, they were showing what a bad guy he was, he entered into the world of baby-ironing so he deserved to have his own baby ironed... oh the irony (pun intended)
