The Prestige (2006) vs The Illusionist (2006)

The Prestige is more memorable because it has Bowie.

Tighter plot, better performances (Paul Giamatti notwithstanding). I did like the look and feel of The Illusionist, but it was tonally off. And the sci-fi/fantasy elements were blended a LOT better into The Prestige than The Illusionist. That self-growing tree? And then the "explanation" for it? Come on.

Prestige, hands down. The Illusionist had its strengths but was simple and flawed. Both had good performances but The Prestige was a better film in every way.
