I just saw in the latest Radio Times that this is a 90 minute special which will air on BBC 1 at 18:00 on 27 December.

It was good. I videod it and watched it just now, because I couldn't watch it at the time, and I enjoyed it. Looks like the BBC put a lot of effort into it, as usual.
shareworked very well, much of the script was according to the book. i was a bit disappointed not to see the snakes in the bath and the brother in the towel which is at the end of the book, but you can't have everything ;) i loved it

Masterpiece Theater is what PBS (the US Public Broadcasting System) uses to show BBC shows. _Upstairs, Downstairs_ and _I, Claudius_ were shown on Masterpiece Theater, for example.
I just checked the PBS website, and _My Family and Other Animals_ is sceduled to air April 9th.
I have loved the book (and its sequels, _Birds, Beasts and Relatives_ and _Fillets of Plaice_) for 35 years...I hope the film can live up to it.
PBS really did show this movie on 4/9 in the States--at least in Wisconsin. I was rather amused with the performance.
shareis there any way i can watch it? i live in israel so i couldn't see it, i tryed emule but it's downloading for over a week and it's on 1.46%.

It's being shown on Israel, it was on 10 minutes ago, my second viewing and it still makes me laugh. Great performances and a Cinema worthy movie!
