Older brother Larry became the very famous author Lawrence Durrell. You can look him up (Gerald as well) on Wikipedia.com, or on a Google advanced search.

I saw that. Wikipedia is awesome. How about his other brother? Did he go to war?

I have no idea about the other brother, although I'm sure something is written about him somewhere, either in Gerald's or Lawrence's writings, or writings about those two on the Web or in print.

Yes, Lawrence Durrell became as famous as a writer as younger brother Gerald. His four volume "Alexandria Quartet" is considered a modern masterpiece. I read it in college in the early 1960s to impress a girl I was dating who was in love with it.

One volume, "Justine" was made into a movie in 1969.

if you go on wikipedia and search gerald durrell there is a list of books that his family members wrote afterwards. funnily enough i remember quite clearly one called something like "whatever happened to margo" or what happened to margo"
anyway, you should be able to see it in there! let us know a shortened version if you decide to read it! :)

well she married, had 2 boys and then got divorced. she then set up a boarding house and met some rather strange boarders. it ended with her affair with one of them, a musician

Margo only died in 2007 I believe

Leslie couldn't get into the army on medical grounds, so worked at an aircraft factory.

Leslie also had a son with the Durrell's maid Maria. He died in 1983.
