Reminds me of a European film

This same premise was used for a European movie (Italian, I believe. I am not 100% sure as I was in Paris and it was dubbed into French). The film I saw was much darker and violent. Not a shock or horror film - just showing the worst of people after their frustration hits the breaking point.

The film was set in the evening and runs through the next morning. It is about the interactions of disparate people in during a traffic jam on a small two-lane road seemingly in the middle of nowhere.

During the night, a couple of cons rape one of the women after they beat her husband.
