Hey are you going to burning man? The movie Electric Apricot is a ridiculously poignant look at bands that came after Jerry Garcia passed away, as the torch of hippie vibration and music sought to stay lit. This particular movie chronicles the band Electric Apricot, a group of befuddled and artistic wanderers who without an education, or proper social skills, sets out to just create something beautiful through music.

Most often wandering confused, layering everything they see with self indulgent interpretation, somehow it all comes together.

I absolutely loved this movie.

I loved this too, but honestly, jam bands do a fine job of spoofing themselves. I especially loved the scene with Warren Haynes, where the Apricot offers his girlfriend and wants to go off feeding ducks. Where would these guys be if they didn't have each other?
