I'll admit I saw this movie once but I don't remember Nina making any mention about her boyfriend and his reaction. Does anyone remember if there was any mention of such?

She mentioned that her boyfriend had told her to "take care of the problem" and she was remarking how "taking care of the problem" sounded like her getting a wisdom tooth pulled out or something.

In the book her "boyfriend" is the guy who worked at the restaurant, the one brought the stuff out to her from her locker. His name was Pieter.
