A couple of things surprised me with this film

I was sitting around bored cruising my Comcast on Demand free movies section when I came across this film. I was about to turn it off when Tammy Blanchard (whom I happen to be a fan of) walked on to the screen. ONce I saw her I said - ok, Ill stick with this. I just finished the film and thought - nice movie. Didnt blow me away or anything but a good watch, a pleasant film. So, what were the surprises??? Well there were two. First of all I didnt care for Tammys performance. Shes been much better (check out Union Square) - but the big shocker was the guy who played Jose. I thought he was terrific. I dont think Ive ever seen another actor with such soulful eyes. This film was made in 2006 and i have no idea who the guy that played Jose is - so thats another surprise - that he is not a big star. I wouldve thought by now he would have kicked ANtonio Banderas to the curb. WOndering if anyone else feels the same.
