WTF? Where's Versus 2?

I've heard 3 violent rumors about Versus 2.
1.) The film is finished. Kitamura and the gang filmed it and it's in the works for a release. It is currently being kept secret as a ploy to catch people off guard. Kitamura did something similar with the original Versus.
2.) Kitamura delayed the film due to the unavailability of his cast, and his stunt coordinator (Yuji Shimomura) who is attempting to pursue a directing career (Death Trance). Also, he wanted to complete a few other projects (Bandage included) before jumping back to his hyper-violent roots.
3.) There was never a real intention of making the film and all rumors about it were just assumed. However, this seems unlikely seeing as how Kitamura was so enthusiastic about the possibility of making a sequel. It can be argued that since Aragami ended much the Versus did, and there is no intention for Aragami 2, that the film was just a hoax.
It is my hope that Kitamura has either made or still intends to make Versus 2. I am a huge fan of the first and the idea of a second has so much potential. I'm still expecting it to pop up someday soon. Kitamura is full of surprises after all.
