One more anachronism (Chinese) ?

On a few occasions, the movie shows sets of (very carefully hand-drawn) Chinese characters, but, although the story takes place during WWII, at least one of the characters has an X-shaped component, which I think only exists in Simplified Chinese, that was put in common use only in Communist China i.e. in the 50s and 60s.

As a Chinese, I can tell you there are many traditional Chinese characters with the component look like the X. For example,?,reads as I ;??reads as Yao ;?, reads as E. Are you interested in Chinese culture? It seems to me that you do know something about the simplification of traditional Chinese under the corrupt Communism regime.
