brave documentary

I understand why some might feel that this was self indulgent as this was a very personal subject for the director, so he wasn't objective but I found it frank and brave. Surely it's a good idea for budding documentary maker to start on what they're passionate about and know about. It must have been embarrassing for the director to speak about and show the world his biggest insecurity. Most people would hide something like this from as many people as possible, instead of making a documentary about it. People have become very obsessed with body image in todays' society. How you look has become more important than what kind of person you are. I admire the director for what he attempted to do and wish him well in his career.
