A question about the pilots of Flight 93

We probably do not and never will know the truth, but the way this movie is presented, is anyone annoyed at the pilots? They already received the text message regarding 2 planes crashed into WTC and that pilots should be extra careful with potential "cockpit intrusion". Yet, upon a couple door knock, they opened the cockpit without even asking the flight attendant any questions.

I'm a bit baffled at this part. Maybe it didn't really happen that way, but if it did, then that was quite careless of the pilots don't you think? I would have been on alert after receiving a text message like that.

reply

While we don't know what really happened, there is suspicion that the Hijackers used one of the flight attendants to gain access to the cockpit. In theory they would have made her use the security knock that had been prearranged between pilots and attendants.

reply

I don't buy this, they have communications between the Stewardesses & the Cockpit on all flights & they never open a cockpit door to someone who just knocks!!! I don't care what "security knock" they had prearranged!! not to mention the fact that your on a plane & giving up the cockpit would mean risking everyones life on board & not just a stewardess. They are extensively trained for hijack situation's & they would have known the difference.

reply

Well I'm sure that they have increased sensitivity in possible hijack situations today especially after 9/11. However, you should remember this was 6 years ago, and I can buy the fact that they had a secret knock. This part did bother me a little though, who knows?

reply

What you're explaining is after 9/11. Before 9/11 they even flew with the cockpit doors open sometimes and the security was not even close to what it is today.

Want another kicker. As depicted here there are people using cellular phones to call home. Only one problem... it's scientifically impossible for them to work above 2,000 feet. So how could they work?

Then we have the conversation of people in the passenger area being picked up on the flight recorded. But the flight recorder only picks up conversation inside the flight deck.

It's very, very odd.

reply

What you are stating is actually wrong. Celluar phones do work above 2,000 feet. Check your facts, don't just youtube them...

Actually, I do know that cell phones can be used to at least 5,000 feet. My brother, a pilot, often will text message me when he is flying over my school at 5k.

reply

United 93's flightpath was replete with support for cell phones. Also, only two of the calls made by the passengers were cell phone calls; the rest were placed through airphones. The cell phone calls lasted less than a minute.

Keep in mind that before 9-11-01, no one would have ever thought people would be crazy enough to use planes as suicide weapons

HAHAHAHAHAHA that is really funny. I guess you've never heard that they were running an exercise that very day on emergency preparedness regarding planes crashing into buildings such as the WTC and Pentagon. And the plot for the TV show pilot for "The Lone Gunmen" a spin-off of the X-files, was that a shadow organization of the American Gov't was to hijack a plane via remote control and crash it into the WTC. This episode came out in March of 2001 and was written in 2000.
Just because Bush said they couldn't imagine it, doesn't make it so.

Do you think they're cognisant of how bad they got it? Lets hope not, poor b@sterds

You spew some serious bullsh!t around here. That statement is patently false.

These are the NORAD exercises either underway or planned for 9/11.

1) Operation Northern Vigilance. This was a yearly exercise involving real aircraft in Alaska and northwest Canada which responded to Russian training exercises. It began on Sept. 9. The Russians called off their exercise when they learned of the attacks.

2) Vigilant Guardian and Global Guardian. These were annual NORAD-wide command-post exercises (CPX), which were simulations not involving real aircraft. They were designed to test response to a simulated nuclear attack from Russia.

There were no hijacking exercises run on 9/11.

Try again.

Hoax
Absurd plot to cover-up the truth.
Why there were no bodies found nor the 93 wreckage recognizable and there is no recording of panic and struggle screams?

reply

I cannot speak re: the first, but just because you haven't heard the recording, doesn't mean it wasn't there. Read the reports. There is mention of a recording of the final minutes. That's how we know they got as far as they did - they HAD breached the cockpit.
