Did anyone notice the British Army's guns....?

I would dare to say that we saw the SAME five Airsoft toy guns over and over again. It was evident that the vast majority of the guns were airsofts that never fired, since (a) the characters never fired them, despite obviously opportunities to do so and (b) it gave the martial arts fight coordinators to have the heroes kick a lot of butt without ever having anyone pull a trigger on them.

I loved how we saw the SAME plastic AK74 over and over again, as if the BRITISH ARMY was using Russian assault rifles. I saw Uzis, SPAS 12 shotguns, XM-177 (CAR-15s), AK variants (and the one and only L85 replica rifle that would be correct if we saw it more than once). Judging by this motley assortment of guns which the British army no longer (or never) used makes me think they borrowed someone's closet of airsoft toy guns.

Dr. Kila Marr was right. Kill the Crystalline Entity.

Also Glock pistols and a few Beretta's were also used, some obviously rubber, but then again bigger productions use rubber weapons too.

On the close up's of weapon barrels (few and far between) they looked real, could have been deactivated weapons.

British army troops have actually used M16's, especially when the SA80 was still having magazine random drop out issues, I know first hand of the trouble the early models had.

Over all, most of the, dare I say it actors, carried their weapons well, a few dubious pistol shooters, but then again it was a light budget movie, It lost me a few times, but overall it was a good B movie.
