Where was Rufus, Reno, Rude and the other Turks

At the beginning it look like Rufus on the stretcher

reply

yeah, I was wondering about that too. They're already coming out with another game with just the turks so . . .I don't have a good answer. That probably was Rufus.

reply

Are you serious?? I thought FFVII was completed!! is it a PS2 game??!

reply

Its called Crisis Core. Its only for the PSP.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0483593/

I've heard two commercials saying "one last battle" from the FFVII series.
Yet they keep making games, and they created an extra villian "G." I wish they would stop messing with our heads :(

reply

G is in this game

They are going (not saying that it already hasnt been) ruin the series, a beautiful series<sob> i remember a day when bad graphics and a great story and characters left us with imagination. to imagine just how badass these dudes can be, just to eventully find out they can FLY! WHY COULDNT I FLY TO GET KNIGHTS OF THE ROUND? they have destroyed it!
i just had to get that out

reply

Reno this, Reno that.

Shut the hell up!

i thought crisis core is going to be about zack and SOLDIER? not about the turks.

reply

Thats what it says, so Crisis Core is a prequel

*sigh* It'll be hard to enjoy this game without Reno. I'll try anyways.

reply

I know, without Reno,Rufus or Rude..I wonder where they were during this game? was'nt Shinra supposed to help out with the WRO?

reply

I think Rufus Shinra was the one giving money to the WRO.

reply

They simply wasnt needed, besides rufus giving money to the WRO. If Nanaki can only get a 4 second role then the turks are definitly not needed.

It was. The diamond WEAPON exploded, and Rufus was badly injured. Turns out, he was also giving huge funds to the WRO.

You'd better be careful around me, or you'll end up in my novel.

reply

It would've been good to have seen the Turks fighting along with Cloud, Tifa etc. Or even to have been giving Vincent assistance throughout the game.

Sit your ass down in that chair and drink your goddamn TEA!

The brief cameo of Rufus being led out on the stretcher is a nod to those who watched "Advent Children" and initially thought "wtf?!" when Rufus appeared, and when we all thought he was originally dead in the Weapon attack. Thus, that cameo pretty much confirms that Rufus's survival was intended and not a random plot element.
Also, while it's not confirmed, it's pretty much solid evidence on Reeve's part that Rufus is the "mysterious donor" for the WRO. Reeve pretty much says that whoever is "writing the checks" probably feels like "they owe a debt to the Planet." Once again, this is another nod to those who watched AC, because in Rufus's opening speech, he talks about how Shin-Ra owes a debt to the Planet. Coincidence? I think not.

While we're on the subject of closing plot holes from Advent Children, where did they pull Tseng from? I thought he died in the Temple of the Ancients during the game. After all, I'm almost positive that Elena says something to the effect of "You killed Tseng" to Cloud and company shortly after. Am I the only one who was kind of thrown by the fact that he also miraculously survived?

"Whatever you do, remember the pain."

reply

When I first played FF7 I thought that he died too, but apparently he was just seriously wounded.

There are was a huge argument about this on one of the threads in the FF7 board.

Don't mind me, I'm just suffering from a bad case of immaturity.

reply

If you talk to Tseng after he collapses he continues convulsing and says, "I am... still alive." Unless you leave the temple then come back. At which time he's silent and unmoving.

Also, Elena accuses Cloud of "doing her boss in" not killing him. Doing someone in could easily mean "taken out of commission" as well as "killed." Apparently it meant to former.

reply

i once heard tht there was a rumour that a second version of ffvii was considered and in it you get to play from the p.o.v of the shinra.
that would have been. I love Elena, Reno and Rude, and i always loved Tseng and his crush on Aeris. Rufus rocked too

reply

Rufus was awesome!!

I am NOT a guy!!

There is a game where you play from the POV of Shinra. It's called Before Crisis and you play as various members of the Turks. It was a cell phone game that came out in Japan only.
